SEOUL—South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron, known for her roles in “The Man from Nowhere” and the Netflix series “Bloodhounds,” was found dead at her home in Seoul on Sunday, February 16, 2025. She was 24 years old. A friend discovered her body and alerted authorities.

Police have stated that there are no signs of criminal activity and are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.

Kim began her acting career at the age of nine, gaining international recognition for her performance in “A Brand New Life,” which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2009. She continued to have a great career, with parts in movies like “The Man from Nowhere” and “A Girl at My Door.”She starred in the Netflix film “Bloodhounds” in 2023.

Kim Sae-ron was reportedly inebriated when she struck an energy generator in May 2022 in Gangnam, Seoul. This turned off the local electricity, and she received a 20 million won ($13,850) penalty for her actions.

People kept a close eye on her after this happened, and she quit acting for a while. She tried to get back into the business and even booked a part in the play “Dongchimi” for 2024, but she had to back out because of health issues.

Kim’s sudden death surprised fans and those working in the entertainment business, which resulted in an outpouring of sympathy and praise on social media. It was a goodbye to the late ASTRO member Moonbin posted on social media for one final time.
