Connor Mathiasson entered a guilty plea to charges of dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing severe injury before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court. He entered not guilty to more harsh allegations, including culpable driving causing death and carelessly inflicting serious harm, nevertheless. Mathiasson was under the influence of the drug at the time of the incident, unlicensed, had three times above the legal limit in blood alcohol concentration, and was unregistered, the court heard. The matter has been sent to the County Court for trial on the surviving allegations.
