Australian Survivor 2025 Winner Myles Embraces His “Jungle Rat” Title – And Turns It Into a Brand

He crawled, climbed, and strategized his way through Australian Survivor: Brains v Brawn II – and now, Myles Kuah has emerged as the Sole Survivor of the 2025 season.
The 24-year-old financial analyst defied the odds and walked away with $500,000 and the title. But it’s not just the win that has people talking – it’s the nickname he proudly owned: “Jungle Rat.”

In an exclusive with TV WEEK, Myles Kuah revealed that not only does he love the nickname, he’s turned it into merch.
“Rats are in fashion, right?” he laughed. “Rats are cool. I definitely have a bit of rat energy.”
He’s even launched a line of T-shirts featuring himself as a rat. What started as a cheeky label became his Survivor identity.
“Rat Energy” Was Part of the Strategy
Myles admits his reputation for being sneaky was well-earned.
“I was stratt-chatting like hell from the start,” he said. “Then Max came up to me and said, ‘Hey, I want to call you the jungle rat in confessionals – I think it’d be fun,’ and I was like, ‘That’s amazing!’ It just stuck.”
Survivor nicknames are a rite of passage – and for Myles, “Jungle Rat” became part of the legend.
The Struggle Was Real
Myles spent most of the season playing from the bottom, and it wasn’t easy.
“I was always in the worst spot in the shelter, eating less, and sometimes people talk down to you when you’re not in the power position,” he shared.
He lost 12kg during the season and admits he underestimated how much he’d need to prepare physically.
“Before filming, I’d eat a full meal, then add two sausages and a protein shake with milk – every time. I only gained five kilos! I’ve got skinny guy metabolism.”
Rain, Mud, and Jungle Chaos
The wet weather in Samoa added another layer of misery, especially in the leaky Brains shelter.
But Myles Kuah made the most of it.
“Kaelan and I would run through the jungle in our underwear, hunting coconuts and looking for idols every time it rained. We made our own fun.”
Pole Dancing, Guitar, and No Career Change – Yet
Off the island, Myles leads a unique double life – working as a financial analyst by day, pole dancing and performing music by night.
“I don’t plan on switching careers,” he clarified. “Pole dancing’s just a hobby. Though… who knows? Maybe there’s a Survivor-themed strip show in the future!”
A Win He Never Expected
Now officially the 2025 champion, Myles Kuah says the whole thing still feels unreal.
“It’s everything. I went in just thinking it’d be a wild ride – I had zero chance of winning in my mind,” he told Channel Ten. “To come out of it as the winner… it’s surreal. It’s the perfect ending to the most incredible experience of my life.”
