Four individuals were killed in a horrific Leach Highway accident at Perth Airport when a grey Toyota RAV4 and a silver Toyota Camry cab collided head-on. The collision occurred on Leach Highway in Cloverdale about 3:40 a.m. on Monday. When the vehicles collided, one of them caught fire. The dead include a 58-year-old taxi driver, an unnamed RAV4 driver, and two female taxi customers aged 56 and 81.

Authorities halted the route for around five hours to investigate and remove the site. Police are looking for witnesses or anyone who has relevant footage to help in their investigation.

The deadly accident closed Leach Highway westbound between Tonkin Highway and Orrong Road while major crash officers investigated.

Police reported a Toyota RAV4 was allegedly travelling in the wrong direction on the Leach Highway near Abernethy Road in Cloverdale around 3.40 a.m.

Major Crash Investigators ended the area of Leach Highway between Tonkin Highway and Orrong Road for around five hours. During that time, they carried out a full inquiry into the tragic accident and removed debris from the road.
